THE AVENUE, LEWES

This stunning Arts and Crafts house was awkwardly positioned on its site, we carried out the work to re-configure the space to the rear of the property.

The lawn was extended to bring the garden right up to the back of the house at first floor level. The existing service rooms were converted into a top lit studio for the potter-client and a tile-clad extension bridges over the fully glazed end of the new kitchen.

Brass detailing is seen on handles, taps and worktop recesses, and sits beautifully against the backdrop of the Delft tiles. The concrete plinth in the Hall is the stage for a wood-burning stove at the heart of this newly renovated house.
